Title:
The ten dragons that threaten pro-environmental behavior (And how psychologists can help to slay them)

Abstract:
Global sustainability and climate change are one of the most significant issues we are facing in the recent decades. Most people may think that natural scientists, engineers, and politicians would play an important role to tackle such an issue. Indeed, they did perform a crucial role in the resolution of environmental issues, yet they may not be able to actualize their goal without the cooperation with psychologists and other social scientists. Prof. Gifford presented an “overview” of the ecological issues and introduced ten major obstacles that threaten citizens’ pro-environmental behaviors. Also, he suggested how psychologists can help to overcome such obstacles by working together with specialists in other areas.
