We cannot fully understand the ecological system without a deep insight on the impact of our social behavior, because social decision makings and ecological systems are significantly related to each other. There is an increasing demand for studies on coupled social and ecological systems for solution of environmental problems. Dr. Satake introduced a model that couple land owner’s decision making and forest-ecological dynamics built upon learning theory and game theory.
