The 6th International Workshop “Culture and cognitive dissonance”

Note: This workshop was jointly held with Scientific Research on Priority Areas “Experimental Social Sciences”and Center for Experimental Research in Social Sciences, Hokkaido University.

Contents: Prof. Shinobu Kitayama and his colleagues gave a talk about their recent data on cultural and situational differences in self-justification for things chosen. They also talked about effects by failure of self-justification in self in both behavioral and physiological levels.
