Based on Center for the Study of Cultural and Ecological Foundations of the Mind under the 21st Century COE program at Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology, Center for Experimental Research in Social Sciences (CERSS) was established in April of 2007 at Hokkaido University to provide infrastructure for research activities in social sciences. The aims of CERSS are to advance experiments in social sciences, promote young social scientists and expand our research activities internationally and collaborative relationships with leading international centers including Center for Evolutionary Psychology at University of California, Santa Barbara.
