The missions of CERSS are 1) to build up collaborative educational systems with the Center for Evolutionary Psychology at University of California, Santa Barbara, 2) to strengthen partnerships with leading international centers (The Institute for Research in the Social Sciences at Stanford University, The UCLA Center for Behavior, Evolution, and Culture, Centre for Applied Cross-cultural Research at Victoria University of Wellington, The Center for the Study of Economy and Society at Cornell University, and the National Taiwan University Psychological Research Center, and 3) to play a central role to collaborate with three 21st Century COE programs (Osaka University “Behavioral Economics using Large-scale Surveys and Experiments”, Waseda University “Constructing Open Political-Economic Systems”, Kobe University “New Japanese Economic Paradigm”) and one Global COE program (Tamagawa University “Origin of Social Mind”) to promote research activities in Scientific Research on Priority Areas "Experimental Social Science", which is jointly conducted by the three programs.
